Who reaches out for the pen?

Who reaches out for the pen or mouse which is a tool, a bridge, a walking stick, a torch-light, a pigeon, a mouthpiece, a knife, a paint brush and so much more?

When these hands reach out for a pen, they are only reaching out for you. This one reaches out for the pen when thoughts begin to percolate into the heart. The foolish mind believes you are out there while you are in here. For sake of play you staged this illusion and now engage in writing love letters to yourself in order to prolong this show and enjoy this sweet Divine Romance!

You orchestrate your thoughts as writings and read them as if someone else wrote them.

There is no real person called "me". It is only you frolicking upon this papery landscape. Your fingers race on to form every dot and line and knowingly you spill yourself as words. In this creative sport you fill page after page and smile. Once in a while someone may pick up these writings and upon reading exclaim: "so profound! This one's got it!"

In reality there is no one here to "get it" because there is no one home!

The same one writes, reads and delights, looking through all eyes. The face or form may vary but the One behind the scenes is the same nameless, faceless, colorless, Seer.

In various costumes, like actors, they appear. As it pleases God, they dance. Whatever pleases Him, comes to pass. O Nanak, there is no other at all.
