UNIVERSAL SOUL

Deep within each person is an individual consciousness that is part of the Universal consciousness. The human soul is unbound and eternal. All religions have their source in this fundamental belief. Brahman is the Universal soul. He is both seen and unseen. The unseen Brahman is also is also called Higher Brahman or Para Brahman. The infinite Lord is both within and without and He pervades all hearts. He is on the earth and the sky and the under

world. There is no place where He is not.

The gurus have told us that we are divine in nature and we must recognize this divine light within us.

"Man to jot saroop hai, apnaa mool pahchaan, Hajee tere naal hai gurmatee rang maan"

Each human is capable of realizing their soul or Atma. Like God, the Atma or Soul is eternal. Through reincarnation, the soul takes on a physical body and discards it like an empty shell on death. A soul takes rebirth many times before it is freed from this cycle. The object of life is to join with our higher-self or Paramatma. Throughout our life we come in contact with many teachers who teach us valuable lessons about life. We perform many good and bad deeds and we reap the fruits of our actions. This Universe is governed by the law of cause and effect. Therefore we are responsible for all our actions. The Gurus have instructed us to

perform good deeds and gather the true riches. They have warned us about the effects of maya. Maya is the creation that has placed a spell upon our senses and can mislead us.

If we make God our best friend and guide, He will reveal true knowledge to us and remove all our fear and insecurity. We are not this body but a part of God. We are wearing the mask

of this body. So actually, you are a great soul wearing a costume like on Halloween night. Remember that this body is not the real you. Your soul cannot be destroyed and nothing can harm it. This body was given to you as a gift to serve your world. This world was created for you to learn your lessons and attain perfection.
