The One who embodies you

If we only knew, if we only had an inkling...

But how can we for we are conditioned from infancy to develop this sense of autonomy, to asset, to perform, to accomplish and excel in all areas.

Then one day we realize that we are not what we have been "made" to believe.

The realization that we do not live but are "lived," that we do not breathe, but are breathed" into, that there is no such thing as personal "volition," comes as a shock... but to whom? who is it that is shocked except for the illusory ego.

What remains when it is seen that the Supreme Self abides within as well without the physical body and that Consciousness is itself the sum total, the fabric and matrix of everything?
