Something comes over me. Something comes and washes over me like a tremendous wave. It sweeps me off my feet and drenches the soul. As I walk mindfully up the side for Your Darshan, with jointed palms, my eyes are fixed upon the beautiful Paalki decorated in silk and gold. The exquisitely embroidered canopy and the ornate fabrics draping the Living

Guru are the focal point of my expectant eyes. I notice the immaculate white sheets covering the floor and the bouquets of fresh flowers arranged on either side of Your throne. A sweet scent of incense fills the air and the soulful music is heard over the speakers. A few devotees sit immersed in Your worship. In the sparkling crystal ornaments embellishing the Throne

and I see You scintillating through the prisms. I am deeply touched by the love that Your devotees have shown in decorating Your Court with flower garlands and other personal touches.

The overall ambiance, creates a space that allows this wave to come gushing forth. In total awe of this moment, the heart is overcome with gratitude and love for You. In this ecstasy I stand and thank you for granting me permission to enter Your Sacred Court. All other thoughts dissolve. In utter helplessness, I prostrate my body before You. With empty hands and an overflowing heart, I thank You again and again. A flood of emotion wells up in the heart and pours through the eyes as I bow in complete surrender at Your feet. The awe and reverence transformed into a flood of tears that I struggle to conceal behind the chunni. At that moment I wish the world would vanish and I would be left alone with You. There is a desperate yearning to dissolve and melt into You.

This wave of ecstasy drowns the lower self and takes over the ego. In Your Presence, something comes over me and sweeps me off my feet. I am no more.

When You are present, I exist no more.
