Behavior is the manner of conduct.

A person's behavior reflects his state of mind. His thinking, environment, company and actions influence his behavior. What is in the mind sooner or later shows up in outer behavior. The Gurus always emphasized the importance of the mind. They stressed the

need for keeping the mind free of negativity and unrest by continuous repetition of Naam Mantra. They also said that company or sangat has a lot to do with ones behavior.

Here are some examples from the Holy Granth Ji:

The thinking of a person manifests his personality

(Gauri M 1 p 224).

He who examines his self, imbibes all the virtues

(Maru M3 p1056).

Vice and Virtue both reside within the body and they are together the cause of creation (Majh. M3 p 126)

Guru Arjan Dev Ji exhorts a person to perform such actions that keep him away from the dirt of vices

(Gauri M 5 p. 199)

Imagine there is a still and peaceful pond of water. Throw a large rock in the middle of this pond. Notice how the ripples produced by the impact of the rock on the water surface, makes many waves that arise and touch the far edges of the pond.

The behaviour of each person affects every other person in some way or another. Please be mindful that your behaviour affects others in a positive way.
